Contacts the nose to tuck it, then gently picks up the mouth until the curb tightens for gentle but all over "nose, bars, lips, chin and face control. Works well with any type of martingale or draw reins.
7/16" Double Five Snaffle. 7" Cheeks, 5" Mouth. Shank has a wonderful balance. The short purchase coupled with a short shank make it a medium control shank. The new copper inlay sweet iron snaffle creates a moist, soft mouth for better feel and control.
This interchangeable noseband is a single rope and is made by Reinsman. The rope noseband is 13 inches long.
This butterfly is designed for comfort to the young horses mouth, while teaching him to turn with only a light touch. This low port mouth helps to stabilize the front shoulders. This is a well balanced bit that is great for trail riding or for starting colts into a bit.
3/8" 3-Piece Sweet Iron Snaffle with Copper Roller. 5" Cheeks, 5" Mouth. Extremely good bit if you need help getting your horse's legs underneath him and his hind end down. The three piece mouth contacts the bars at a more severe angle than a two piece, creating contact on new nerves for better control. Copper roller often pacifies a nervous horse and adds slight tongue pressure for better headset.
3/8"Twisted Sweet Iron Dog Bone. 5" Cheeks, 5 ½" Mouth. DESIGNED BY MOLLY POWELL. This is one of my favorite bits to use on colts that are just getting into a shank bit. The 3-piece mouth in this bit allows me to introduce the curb chain to my young horses and still keep them confident when I pull on them in the turns. If you ride young horses, you need this bit in your collection-it's definitely one of my 'go to' bits!

5/16" Small Twisted Sweet Iron Snaffle. 3" Light Rings, 5" Mouth. Excellent choice if horse is lugging on the bit. May only be necessary to ride in the bit for a few days to lighten up horse.
The Go-Around Bit features a brown iron, low port mouth piece that is comfortable to many horses. Also, this bit provides excellent handling qualities. Use this bit for correcting a horse that elevates his nose or drops his shoulder or helping a horse use his rear end rounding him out on a turn.
This is Martha Josey’s million dollar bit made by Reinsman. This bit has a noseband, bit guards, and a curb chain. The shank is 6 5/8 inches and the mouthpiece is 5 inches with a 5/16 of an inch diameter. The mouth piece has a dog bone with twists made of stainless steel.
This Martha Josie bit has tear drop style shanks that are 5 ¾ inches. The mouthpiece is 3 pieces, consisting of twisted wire either side of a dog bone. This mouthpiece measures 5 inches with a 5/16 of an inch diameter. This bit has a curb chain, a noseband, and bit guards.
